This new year will be my third time attending Snowglobe Music Festival. 2016 was my first time at this festival and it instantly became my favorite. I was blown away by the performances, location, food, transportation, environment, and art. Snowglobe didn’t compare to any other festival I has been to. First of all, I don’t spend much time in places with snowy climates so this was very exciting for me. At the time, Snowglobe wasn’t as popular as other festivals like Coachella, Outsidelands, and EDC, but it was still gaining popularity. Because of this, the atmosphere was incredible, people were so happy to be there, the outfits were incredible, a lot of small businesses were being promoted, and it wasn’t as packed as previous years. I just received my Snowglobe 2018 wristband in the mail and am extremely excited for this year’s show.
How I prepare for Snowglobe:
1. Buy early bird tickets
The early tickets are a lot cheaper than the other tears of tickets, the only con to purchasing them so early is that the lineup isn’t out yet so you don’t know who will be performing. I’ve found that when you buy the early bird tickets you spend less money, and if you end up not going you can sell them for more money.
2. Wait for lineup
Waiting for the lineup is one of the most nerve-wracking things about a festival. Sometimes you only know the time period of when they are gonna come out not the exact day so it’s a pretty big surprise when they come out.
3. Look for a group of people to go with
In the past 2 years, I’ve attended this festival I’ve gone with a large group of people. This is a great thing to do when you and your friends have different priorities with who you want to see and how you want to spend your time at the festival.
4. Search for an Airbnb close to the festival grounds
5. Shop for crazy outfits
6. Wait for Snowglobe
7. Drive up the day before
8. Get a good night of sleep!
Most music festivals are 3 days and you can be on your feet in a tight crowd for hours on end, your body can get very tired when you’re doing this 3 days in a row. It is important to be rested up.
