Creating fun outfits for festivals can be one of the most exciting parts of festival preparation. During festival season or all year round, popular clothing websites will create a section of their store directed to shopping for festivals. I like to shop at stores I usually shop at and I also light to branch out and find clothes that I wouldn’t usually wear. You can also add things to your outfit that aren’t clothes or accessories. This past year at Coachella I wanted to make my outfits as exciting and rememberable as possible. I decided it would be a good idea to dye my hair blue, which ended up looking cool but didn’t end well.
Once I was set on dying my hair blue, I started researching temporary blue hair dye. I watched countless youtube videos reviewing different brands and shades of blue on blonde hair. After about a few days of researching, I found L’Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent hair dye. This dye was known to come out in 5 to 8 washes and didn’t damage blonde hair.
On the third day of Coachella, I spend about 1-2 hours dying my hair and washing it and blow drying it. Once I finished dying my hair, it turned out more silver/dark blue then I expected. I really liked how it turned out and would give this product an 8/10 for the overall color and turn out. If I were to rate this product based on how ‘semi-permanent’ I would give it a 2/10. During the process of washing it out, my hair turned bright green. People at school told me it looked like seaweed so it was a pretty ugly color. I would wash my hair about 2-3 times a day and use salon quality products to wash it out. In the end. Most of my hair washed out (after about 2 months) but the tips and the blonder parts of my hair wouldn’t wash out so I had to end up cutting it.
